2. List players in the order of their scores.

3. C1 thru C7 will all place

4. B players are placed without considering the A players - only the C players.

5. A players are unaffected by new system and will place just as they appear as one of the top 7 scoring players.

There will be a modification of this new MARATHON METHOD of scoring BEGINNING with the tournaments of Nov. 9, 1998.

1) An additional 8th place will be added and provide 25 FPP.
2) B and C players may win 1st position ONLY IF THEY PLACE FIRST. B and C players will thus be awarded 2nd thru 8th in the same manner as they have been awarded 1st thru 7th.

This method of scoring does not affect the A players while providing more positions for B players and assuring C players that they will competitively place in EVERY tournament.

Notice how the following winners were determined (no notation means the player is an "A" as B and C are otherwise noted). The A players will receive exactly that which they would have received without the MARATHON METHOD in place.

The B players receive the top 7 positions (positions 2 thru 8 after this week's posting, UNLESS they win the top position) as if there were no A players SO LONG AS THEY BEAT OUT the C players.

C players will receive 7 positions as there were no A or B players in the game. However, unless they win the top position, they will receive 2 through 8 ater this week's postings.
